Day 1 of our Hong Kong Trip 2010

Day 1 of our Hong Kong Trip had been an eventful experience for our pupils and teachers alike. For some of our pupils, this is their first experience taking the airplane. And what a way to gain that experience on a trip with the Unity family.

Once we boarded the plane, we were ushered to our seats. Mixed feelings were evident in the faces of the pupils of Unity. Fear and EXCITEMENT. As the plane took off, the fear dissipates as quickly as the duration of the plane taking off. :)
Soon CURIOSITY got the better of us and busy hands started to fiddle with the remote control that opens the door to the On-board Entertainment...

We landed at Hong Kong at around 5.30p.m but we soon realised that the Sun sets earlier here. We soon boarded the coach that brought us the restaurant for our dinner. But along the journey, we were entertained by the bright lights of Hong Kong, especially Victoria Harbour.

After dinner, we checked into City View Hotel. Here is the list of pupils and teachers and their assigned rooms.

After checking in, we soon found our way to Tung Choi Street famously known for its Ladies Market. The streets were busy with people, local and tourists, hunting for a good bargain. The scene unfolding before us seemed to be coming out from a classic Hong Kong movie. We wondered if Jackie Chan was around.
